Alta Lake Golf Resort is a Resort 18 hole golf course located in Pateros, Washington.
Alta Lake Golf Resort golf course opened as a 9-hole course in 1974. The course was designed by Don Barth.
An easy 4 hour drive from Seattle, this is the resort where golfers come to play their hearts out in the beautiful Methow Valley. The course started as nine really fun holes, holes with giant greens and a tiny motel in the distance. Golfers would play a nine hole round two times, from two different sets of tee boxes. Golfers would hardly run into anyone else and be able to play all day.
That is what the course was like when the Barth family came in 1984, and fell in love with the course. Over a quarter of a century has passed since they took over the course. The course has changed. There are now 18 truly remarkable holes that complete the course. The motel has expanded.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,678 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,535 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 545 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 157 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 543 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 204 yard par-3.

We played five rounds over 4 days and enjoyed everyone of them. #1 Pin placements were brutal and you couldn't keep it on the green if you got the ball above the hole. Views were phenomenal. Will come back and stay and play next time. One of the best kept secrets in Eastern Washington--Family run and it shows--really enjoyed the course
